Dear Tony Perkins,
Are you aware that a lot of people (regardless of who they are attracted to) get married to fill an “emptiness within them”, i know married couples who’ve done it for their egos or their society’s expectations. And that emptiness never disappears, hence the divorce rate being what it is. Screw all this dialogue about marriage.

Get your shit together people and don’t worry about marriage.
(and yes I realize that people are going to claim that marriage is about ‘commitment’ and ‘rights’, but I dream of a society where a state doesn’t dictate the value of a relationship and ‘commitment’ doesn’t come with a social status)
